Today, our irish friends are celebrating their annual St. Patrick’s Day. The intention is, to hold the memory of Bishop Patrick in high regard. But nobody seems to know exactly, when this bishop has lived or who he was. Its also not playing a role and anyway not here, in the far and cold Germany. Regardless we are celebrating it too, in our hardworking way.
Its highly recommendable to avoid confusing the irish feast day with the Christopher Street Day. This other feast day is dedicated to the homosexual and will be proceeded on diverse places to different times. Congratulating a Guiness-filled irish man to the homosexual feast day of Ireland, might be not a good idea.
With this in mind: Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
